Kirstyn Clark is an award-winning journalist who currently works at WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina. She brings a strong background in anchoring, reporting, and community-centered storytelling to her role.

Prior to joining WRAL, Kirstyn served as a Weekend Morning and Fill-in Anchor and Reporter at WBOC in Salisbury, Maryland, from June 2022 through June 2025. She began her professional career as a Video Production Intern for Inside Carolina from July 2021 to June 2022, where she developed hands-on experience in digital storytelling and production.

Her work has been recognized by several respected organizations. In 2024, Kirstyn was named Best Reporter by the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association and also received the organization’s Outstanding Spot News Reporting award. She is also a recipient of the 2021 Sidmel Estes Best Producing Award from the National Association of Black Journalists and earned a 2021 scholarship from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas.

Kirstyn’s news philosophy is rooted in service. She believes journalism’s role is to serve the community, give a voice to the voiceless, and use storytelling to make a real difference in people’s lives. She finds the greatest reward in her work through the relationships she builds and the people she meets along the way.

She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Cary, North Carolina native. Outside the newsroom, Kirstyn enjoys reading—especially memoirs and mystery novels—traveling, spending time with family and friends, and staying active through walking, running, hiking, basketball, and pickleball. She is also an avid college and professional sports fan and a proud pet parent to her one-year-old rescue Chihuahua mix, Princeton.

What Kirstyn loves most about North Carolina is its natural beauty—from beaches to mountains to charming towns—all paired with the warmth of southern hospitality.

Some of her most memorable assignments include covering an FBI search at then-President Joe Biden’s Rehoboth Beach home, recovery efforts following a deadly EF3 tornado in Sussex County, Delaware, Tropical Storm Ophelia in Ocean City, Maryland, the life and legacy of Delaware native and professional wrestler Jamin Pugh, and an extensive manhunt in Wicomico County, Maryland.
