Aimee Wilmoth is an accomplished meteorologist with a diverse and extensive background in broadcast media. Currently serving as a meteorologist for WRAL-TV since 2012, Aimee brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role.

Aimee's journey in meteorology began at Texas A&M University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology in 2001. Following her education, Aimee embarked on a dynamic career path that took her across the United States, honing her skills and knowledge in various television markets.

Her career commenced as a meteorologist at KBTX-TV in Bryan, Texas, where she gained foundational experience from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, she expanded her horizons as a meteorologist at KMOV-TV in St. Louis from 2004 to 2007, and then as a weather producer at WHDH-TV in Boston from 2007 to 2008. Aimee continued to broaden her expertise as a meteorologist at KXII-TV in Sherman, Texas, from 2009 to 2010, before transitioning to the role of freelance meteorologist at KDAF-TV in Dallas from 2010 to 2012.

Since joining WRAL-TV in 2012, Aimee has been an integral part of the meteorology team, delivering accurate and informative forecasts to viewers in the North Carolina area. Her dedication to her craft and her passion for weather science have made her a trusted source for weather updates and analysis.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Aimee finds joy in various hobbies and interests. She is an avid Zumba enthusiast and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, exploring parks and embarking on adventures to warm destinations. Aimee's love for college football, particularly her support for NC State, reflects her deep connection to her community and her family.

Speaking of family, Aimee is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Brian. Together, they share the joys of parenthood with their son, August, and daughter, Bailey. Their bond and shared experiences enrich Aimee's life both personally and professionally.

In her leisure time, Aimee indulges in her favorite books and movies, including the Twilight series and classic Christmas films like "It's a Wonderful Life," "Christmas Vacation," and "A Christmas Story." Her appreciation for storytelling and nostalgia underscores her warm and welcoming personality.

Aimee's relocation to North Carolina has afforded her the opportunity to embrace the vibrant culture and natural beauty of the region. From cheering on the Wolfpack to relishing the proximity to both beaches and mountains, Aimee cherishes the unique charms of North Carolina and the enriching experiences it offers her and her family.
